The daughter of cultural anthropologists, Leslie Ann Pilling’s childhood was anything but conventional. Her
summers were spent in Northern California, just off a Native American reservation. Antiquing all over the country
was a favorite family activity. “My parents instilled in me a real appreciation for history and preservation,”
says Pilling, an accomplished artist, fine jewelry designer and one of Michigan’s top interior designers. “I can
creatively incorporate design elements from different time periods and create a home interior that’s truly reflective
of the person’ who lives there.” With degrees in education, art and psychology, Pilling often jokes that
she’s a home decor therapist for her clients - a trait that served her and her clients well.
